Position: Senior Web Application Developer
Location: San Jose, California

The Job:
Work in a small, fast-paced team to develop web applications and web services that integrate a variety of Adobe technologies. Must be a self-starter with the ability to design and develop independently as well as in tight collaboration with other engineers. Must be able to successfully deliver on aggressive timelines and work in an environment where agility is valued and change is embraced.

You:
• At least four years working in a dynamic team environment, developing multi-tiered, database-backed web applications and/or web services for Unix and/or Linux.
• Strong skills in ColdFusion and/or Flex, XML, Web Services (REST and SOAP) and SQL as well as object-oriented software design. Knowledge of JMS and/or XSL would be a bonus.
• Familiarity with Apache, J2EE application servers (e.g., JBoss, JRun), databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
• Solid appreciation of software engineering principles such as software lifecycles, version control and configuration management – while remaining flexible and agile.
• Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to produce effective, concise documentation as part of the design and development process.

Position: Developer, Flex
Location: Newton, Massachusetts

The Job:
We are looking for a razor sharp coder who is driven to make a serious contribution to the implementation of one of the most innovative products currently under development in the world. You will be responsible for development of Flex Enterprise technologies that support high-performance, data-centric Rich Internet Applications. In this role you will work on design and implementation of product features on both the client and server. Rock solid coding skills and outstanding engineering sensibilities required. The Flex Enterprise product line is making huge strides in how data is managed across application tiers including providing seamless data management, collaboration capabilities, offline capabilities and support for multiple client and server environments. This is a unique opportunity to help shape an emerging software platform which will transform the way in which programmers create Internet applications! You’ll design, document and develop robust, scalable system architectures, and work with other developers in the team to develop features within a common architecture.

You:
• Strong software development skills including data model design and the creation of well-engineered code. Strong object oriented design and coding skills are a must.
• Knowledge of Java and J2EE is required.
• Knowledge of Web Service standards (SOAP, WSDL) is a major plus.
• Knowledge of Flash, Flex and other Rich Internet Application development are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of recent experience working on data-intensive coding tasks.
• Experience with application servers, and databases.

Position: Architect, Flex Enterprise
Location: Newton, Massachusetts

The Job:
We are seeking an architect with a passion for building robust software platforms that empower developers to build feature-rich, scalable and efficient applications with unparalleled user experiences. You will be responsible for development of Flex Enterprise technologies that support high-performance, data-centric Rich Internet Applications. You will work closely with the other members of the Flex Enterprise engineering team on both client-side and server-side development and will help to drive the overall implementation of the product. Experience in developing real-world, large enterprise data architectures required. Design, document and develop robust, scalable system architectures. Coordinate the design of inter-related subsystems across multiple products. Provide technical leadership within a collaborative environment. This is a chance to determine the course of a software platform that is changing the way Internet applications are built!

You:
• Extremely strong software development skills including API design, performance tuning, implementation of scalable architectures, ability to review code and mentor other developers. Strong object oriented design and coding skills are a must.
• Strong architectural skills and a proven ability to balance the tradeoffs of delivery schedules, customer needs, and long-term system maintainability. Understanding of web architecture and application integration with back-end data systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to technical audiences is extremely important. Ability to author and deliver papers and presentations in general is a plus.
• Extremely strong knowledge of Java and J2EE is required.
• Knowledge of Flash, Flex and other Rich Internet Application development are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of software development, 3 years in a lead technical leadership position.
• 2+ years of recent experience in large-scale, mission-critical systems design and deployment.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Web Services, application servers, and databases.
• Understanding of operational requirements for deploying large-scale, IT-managed internet applications.
