Ajax-enabled Multiplayer Battleship
<>p> In the trend of Ajax-enabled games that we’ve been seeing lately, Sinkmyship.com introduces their own offering – a multiplayer version of Battleship. We’ve looked everywhere for an online multiplayer version of the first RTS game EVER! However we were dissapointed in what we found, and decided to create our own. As they say, the rest is history… in the making (since this is a beta).
There’s no registration or anything to keep you from playing immediately – just click on the “Game” link at the top of the page. If you’ve ever played the normal physical version of the game (or another virtual version), you’ll catch on to it pretty quickly. Once you get into the game, you’ll be greeted with an open chat, allowing you to find other players to start up a game with. You can either join up with one already created or start your own with a click of a button. The entire interface will refresh its content periodically (without a page reload), so you don’t have to keep checking to get the latest.
Upon getting into the actual game, you set up your ships on the board to the left while waiting for the opponent to finish placing his. From there, it’s just a guessing game, making your choice of squares to try to find their ships.

There is a online battleship game in Flash at tintin.com.
Very fun as you can send famous quotes of the Capitaine Haddock to your opponent! And they are sent spoken!
Huh? How is battleship a RTS? Seems more turn based to me.
Never thought of battleship as a RTS game.
