All for one, and one for all

Category: HTML, Standards

<p>Philippe Le Hegaret has created an uber-demo that puts a bunch of new technology into one HTML document.

View source that puppy to see html video with DFXP captions, SVG, MathML, RDF, CSS goodness, and much much more.

I can’t admit to caring as much about the XHTML 5 support that Sam talks about ;)

Argh, this is a ugly page. I really hope this is *not* the future of web technologies ;-)

It would’ve been nicer to see the new technologies in real world web applications (possibly simulated).

It wasn’t the “X” that I was focusing on (at the moment, XHTML is required for at least two of the technologies in the demo, something I consider to be an unfortunate tying).

Instead, I was attempting (perhaps clumsily) to suggest that “conforms to standards” is an important aspect of such demos, leaving open the possibility that it be either the demo or the spec that might need to be updated.
