Awesome.

It's really nice to watch video on the web with those controls, and I haven't seen it fail in any decent browser. I love the fact that video is showing up on the web in the video tag. This apple player puts a slick interface on it.

Most video fails on iphone 3GS like jx12345 says. At least for the new iMac vid it appears to be a .mov file at heart and iphone only supports mp4 base profile like Brother Mark says. Odds are the other mp4 files that fail on the site aren't base profile.
Oh, and still no html5 video tag styling|scripting on iphone either, mp4 base profile vids are always fullscreen.
I guess they figure if you have an iphone they don't need to sell you anything else.

Great!
i'm pretty impressed, at least they try, so we - developpers - can start using HTML5 with 1 browser less to worry about if it's supported or not!
so why the complaining about browser detect/javascript, it's not apples fault that browsers like internet ex.... choose to go back instead of forward!

Forgot to mention - the new iMac video fails. Some other videos run ok. So just i minor glitch then and not an all-around major fail I expected it to be at first.

I'll be a bit more impressed when they don't require a browser detect/javascript to pull it off.

Still nice to get the video tag pushed. Sorta.

It seems they just leverage the video tag Safari as only a mp4/H.264 version of the video is provided. For Firefox 3.5 under Mac the Quicktime Plugin is used. I haven't tried IE but I guess they'll fall back to Flash there.
