Please note that ISEN plans to categorize and federate local databases.
I'd enjoy your feedback.

All well and good. But when is someone going to get around to figuring out why Google Docs run like chilled molasses in Firefox on Linux?

I am happy to see Google embracing the little guys and working with Dojo rather than just squashing them or acquiring.

Their approach is refreshing and shows that developing apps in the browser is has a chance to win out over some of the proprietary platforms emerging.

Very exciting about Google Gears! Likewise, great news about Dojo working together with Google... It's awesome to see how fast this is evolving, with Google, Mozilla, [many libraries] pushing JS/Ajax development and the browser. This along with the whole increasing capability of online/offline API's as shown with Dojo, Adobe Apollo, and others. Hats off to these titans of innovation making this happen. ...continued key convergence between js libraries/toolkits + large players will really push this boulder down the hill. Can't wait to write an Ajax app that utilizes the Google Gears API! I'm sure we all have a few in mind. Thanks for the podcast, Ajaxians

Charlie, tell me more what you mean by the "transaction" problem. Have you seen Dojo Sync?

Best,

It is really exciting news to see two projects are gona to work together. But is there any chance that the "transaction" problem can be solved in offline. Especially, when it will be online based accoutning application. It gona to be a big issue.
