BinaryBonsai Live Archives
<>p>Over at Binary Bonsai, they have a nice example of Live Archives. The archive refreshes asynchronously, and you are able to view the content via date (chronological), tagging, and categories.
As well as the obligatory Tag Cloud, they also have a graph representation of the popularity of their tags, which is actually easier to view.
Tag Clouds are very Web 2.0, but are they usable?
They are great for the bold words, but everything else is just a cloud, and blends in.

I’m not quite getting it… it’s purpose/usefulness isn’t very obvious
This is a great interface for blog archives. Is the code for this available anywhere?
At least for Textpattern (http://www.textpattern.com/) there is a plugin which implements the chronological part of the live archive. You can grab it there: http://www.wilshireone.com/textpattern-plugins/rss-live-archive
I have this running on my own blog for a few months now in my own archive (http://www.dirksteins.de/archive/, in german).
Wunderbar. Danke!
