Calculating a Text Link’s Worth with Ajax

Category: Showcase, Utility

<>p> On Text-Link-Ads.com, there’s a handy tool – their Text Link Ads Calculator – to help you figure out what the value of ads placed on your site would be (based on lots of different criteria) and is ajax-enabled to make for quick and easy use.

Simply enter in the URL of the site to check, the category for the site’s content, the number of links you’re willing to sell, and if they’ll be on the whole site or just a page. Then, selected an area from the page layout on the right of where you want to place them. The “price tag” image will then update with their calculation of a total for the month. Data is gathered dyanmically from all sorts of sources to come up with this final price. Most of the domains that I have tried were relatively high, but I’m still skeptic about it actually brining in those totals.

In case you’re one of those who can’t sleep at night without knowing how this is all calculated, they also include a link to this blog post with complete details.
