Dojo 0.2 is released

<p>dojo version 0.2

Dojo 0.2 has just been released! Go download it now, check out bugs closed for 0.2, or see the full list of packages. Check out the full release notes for everything that is new, here are some highlights:

  • dual-licensed as AFL and BSD (now GPL compatible)
  • JSON support
  • local storage via dojo.storage
  • many new widgets – Html editor, fisheye, accordion, and others
  • automatic memory leak prevention for IE
  • much more documentation very soon at manual.dojotoolkit.org (link not live at the time of this posting)

Congratulations to the whole team…now, how much longer till Dojo In Action? ;)

Dojo has some great widgets available, but the .js library is 129KB! Am I the only one who thinks that’s a bit excessive?

Scriptaculous+Prototype is 127K.

If you don’t want a library that *does* anything, as they say, you have options.
