Editsite: Browser based CMS
Ilkka Huotari opened his doors to his latest web venture: Editsite.
Editsite is CMS as a service. It goes above and beyond a simple blog, in that you can build any kind of site using very interesting in-browser tools.
Editing
You have editor widgets, and live editing.
Choosing Layouts
Picking layouts is simple.
Creating Forms
This isn’t just about simple content. You can create forms for you site.

If you all are going to start posting this as AJAX news, you may be in for ALOT of CMS postings.
MODx CMS (www.modxcms.com) is way further along in “Web 2.0” CMS Development than this product. The Template Variables (TVs for short) in MODx give the user way more options in developing their site and its content.
If you want a “Web 2.0” product that is easy to use, MODx is way easier and way more powerful to use.
Not wanting to get into CMS wars, if there’s going to be a lot of CMS postings, then let it be?
IMHO, CMS are going to keep ‘coming back’ – they will just morph into a suitable form.
