EOGallery: Animated Image Gallery

Category: Showcase

Our FProd friends have created EOGallery, a concept of a web animated image gallery create using JQuery.

It uses basic jQuery functions and Cody Lindley’s Thickbox to display larger pictures. By the way, EOGallery is XHTML 1.0 strict valid and almost CSS valid, it has been tested on Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 6 and works even with non-javascript and/or non-css browsers.

Since jQuery has its own category, please add the tag jQuery to it. Other then that, great work!

seems a bit buggy here in FF2. The darken overlay does not reach the bottom of the screen.

Also it says that it works with non-javascript and/or non-css browsers which is utter rubbish. If you view it with javascript on, css off its really borked :)

Ok I know that that isn’t a normal browser configuration but they said it would work and it doesn’t, or maybe I’m just being pedantic ;)

This is really good, but isn’t this a slight modification of jcarousel. http://sorgalla.com/jcarousel/

Even on my dual core with 2gb ram it does not run smoothly…. approx. 5-10 fps… idea is cool, but unuseful due to that.

It is truly amazing to me what you can do with digital images. Well done. Thank you!
