It is a great time for new tools popping out with Atlas coming along nicely too…. and a couple more being hacked on. Open Web Tools FTW! :)

It seems like a nice UI, and if it stores as HTML/JavaScript rather than the proprietary XML like TibcoGI it will be easier to manage in the long run. I guess the ‘fun’ I have is it is so mouse driven. It is good for pure designers, but even in the demo you see like 10 mouse clicks to do something you can do in 10 keystrokes?
Being a long term back-end coder I love these tools for getting people started but at some point I just prefer context aware code complete to get it done quicker as my fingers X 10 are faster than fingers X 2 on the mouse.
Not the place I expected to discover a good song.
What is the name of the song?
It’s “Hey You” by Pony Pony Run Run… indeed a great song.
What systems does Designer run on? Is it a Windows only thing?
The download doesn’t play nice with Mac OS X, that’s for sure.
General Interface has a in browser visual designer since like 2004
TIBCO GI is now just GI. XML is .. well.. what XML does.. how is it more proprietary than say actionscript vs javascript?
