Farecast: Travel Help

Category: Showcase

Farecast is a new beta web application that allows you to be smart about your flights. We all know that flight costs go up and down, and this tool tries to visually show you where to travel, when to travel, and more.

It has a nice rich interface including search refinement, mapping, integrated graphing and grids.

Farecast is great, some really good features in it and it’s the first really big use of Ajax in the travel industry.

Expect to see all sorts of filters and ajax features on other travel sites soon!

Also, try http://www.kayak.com for hotels and other products too.

Very cool site! And a great use of Flash & Ajax together!

Just tried using it. Has a great interface, very intuitive. The AJAX really smooths over the entire process. Definitely plan on using this one.
