Fashion for Geeks: Fun for a Friday
We couldn’t resist posting this little piece of flamebait, sent in by Greg Cerveny:
This is the first in a series of articles to help geeks become a bit more fashionable. If you’re a fellow geek or nerd, why care about fashion anyways?
Women, duh.
So you’ve got two options.
1. Continue to think, “Screw fashion — women shouldn’t care about that stuff but just like me for who I am.†AKA, stay in denial.
or
2. Accept the reality of the situation now that you have an understanding of it, and take some very basic and easy steps to improve your look. AKA, getting a girlfriend!
How does this have anything to do with Ajax, you may ask? At some point, the word “Ajax” is randomly used in the post:
a ruby-hacking AJAX-luvin’ web nerd
Good enough for us.
Yesterday we asked if we should include more designer-friendly content in the upcoming Ajax Experience conference; based on the universally affirmative response, we thought we should try to post some content that would help the developers amongst us look more like designers. ;-)

…and I often leave my stilettos at home because they distract people from the fact that I am a skilled developer. I’m always pleasantly surprised when I expect more to a person than meets the eye.
Is this why you wear those designer jeans? I’ve seen them.
