Carmen, I had the same problem you are having. I deleted the CollorZilla extension and everything works perfectly now.

This extension is amazing, they have brought Firebug so far from the original.

I've found a few glitches, but nothing major...I've had some in the old one too.

it's our login page for our app which I'd rather not post on the public list-- but if you have an email address, I can send it to you-- all images, css, js write out the various no-cache headers which work according to live http headers and others, but you could use it to cross reference firebug :-)

Jacob, Firebug shows some requests that are fulfilled by the cache, and never make it out to the network. Is there an example of a page with these "ghost" requests I could check out to make sure it's not a bug?

'Live Http Headers' matches what the tomcat access logging shows, firebug is the odd man out on this one with showing ghost requests to the server.

I'll try comparing against 'Live Http Headers', because the valve logging is attached directly to the host, showing the other 304 responses for things I've forced caching on.

Jacob,
Can't say that I have (yet). I would guess that what you are seeing is either:

a) standard output of how firefox internally recognizes each resource (meaning it goes through each file and prints the request, er something ? )

b) the requests are actually going to the server but then immediately are told to bugger off because they are cached and tomcat doesn't log these. (this is of course a hypothetical reason, I don't actually know the answer ;) )

If you wanted to find out definitively you could always install the "Live HTTP Headers" firefox plugin to double check which requests are actually going out and which are not.

Running great w/ FF 1.5 on XP. There are more features in this release than I could have possibly imagined.

The interactivity is undescribable, you have to use it for yourself to see.

AWESOME!!!!! If you end up using this at your COMPANY be sure to donate some goodness to Joe Hewitt. He deserves it!!

carmen,

I'm using firefox 2.0 on linux (with Xorg obviously) with 0 issues. Perhaps you should double check your assertions before blurting them out. =p

well...unlike 0.x, which at least showed up but everything was dimmed out and the input box was missing, 1.0 doesnt even appear, when activated, even when 'new window' is chosen.

i'll definitely donate if he can get it working on firefox 1.5/2.0 and Xorg 7.1.. right now the only firefox that loads firebug correctly on linux is 3.0, aka CVS trunk, but that is too buggy to actually use. but maybe it was a bug in firefox itself that they fixed? anyone know?

i noticed that the net monitor is showing requests for data that doesn't actually hit the server-- I'm comparing tomcat's access valve to what the net monitor shows. The tomcat access valve only shows one request for the page (correct), but the net monitor shows requests for all dependent sources and their times. Strange--
