Interactive ‘Web 2.0’ Designer for ClincaHealth

Interactive ‘Web 2.0’ Designer

Rapidly-growing social networking software company in search of a talented, enthusiastic developer / designer to join our skilled team to create sophisticated online communities.

Requirements include a demonstrated ability to design sophisticated, template-driven web sites. Fluency in current CSS techniques is key; Designing for AJAX is crucial. We’d like you to know when to use a widget and why.

You should have an awareness of and interest in what’s going on with Web 2.0, and where the Internet is headed. We’d like to know what sites you use, and what blogs you appreciate. We’re interested not only in your design and coding skills, but also in your sense of what’s good on the web and what’s not. You’ll be helping to shape the next generation of our product, and you’ll be an active, engaged member of a super-smart team.

It is important that you have a good understanding of web architecture, including the appropriate separation of presentation and content. Also, an appreciation of information architecture is desirable.

It’s important to us that you have the ability to code pages by hand. GUI editors are fine, but we need someone who understands how things work under the hood and can code pages.

Bonus if you know what a web server is and have some systems knowledge. You don’t need to know how to administer a server, but it would be great of you can push around files and understand general principals of website operations.

Competitive compensation and benefits include healthcare and stock. If this sounds like the kind of job that is exciting to you, please send your portfolio to
