Joe’s Goals

Category: Showcase

“Joe” created a simple Ajax application that allows you to check off those goals:

The application I built uses Yahoo’s UI javascript (along with some other free goodies) to create a daily tracker (one click) for a user’s goals. The idea would be to setup daily goals such as workout, bring lunch, walk to work, etc. Once setup the goals appear down the left side with the days of the week across the top. Just click the correct box to mark a goal complete. You can also track vices (eat out). In addition you can share goals with friends and accountability partners and add multiple checks if you’ve been extra good or extra bad (perhaps you add a check every time you eat a candy bar). The app is still in beta and free and I designed it to be simple as dirt.

Cool utility: Joe’s Goals

I just found a cool little utility called Joe’s Goals via Ajaxian. This is pretty neat–kind of like Outlook ultra-lite. I’m actually using it, I threw it onto the Windows active desktop so it just sits in the background all

Great post! I love seeing mini-apps like this addressing day-to-day life. I hope it takes off, there’s more to Ajax and “Web 2.0” than business-related software…
