It’s clearly rendering graphics somehow. The question is how. My guess, from the looks of it, is Canvas or SVG.

Performance looks too good for Canvas or SVG, but it definitely looks interesting.
@Andy: Canvas can be pretty performant, but the movie did look more flash like, but who knows.
More charting and data visualization would be a great thing for the web world.
@Adam: Canvas can be very “flash like”. Actually my bet is on canvas, unless the video has been edited.
