Magnetic Ajax Poetry

Category: Ajax, Showcase

This is a fun one. Garrison Locke (of the spell checker fame) has put up a nice fun showcase, Magnetic Ajax Poetry.

It uses Ajax and the DOM-Drag library that we linked to the other day.

It’s like the magnetic poetry kits you’ve seen before except this is on the internet..and not Java. It saves state when you release a piece. It updates itself every 2 seconds, so if you’re on it at the same time someone else is and they move something, you’ll see that piece move too.

And it’s persistent, so what you write will be there next time you come back unless someone else moves it somewhere.

You can play with it and download it at http://www.broken-notebook.com/magnetic

Several significant updates have been completed on the spell checker program too.
