MyPunchBowl Helps You Pick a Date
MyPunchBowl has a new feature that helps with picking dates for events.
I have run into this with scenarios such as poker night. Your group wants to play next week, so you have to work out the night that will work best for the group (most people show up and lose their money to me).
Matt Douglas told us:
We’re very excited to announce significant new functionality on MyPunchbowl.com called “Pick a Date.” It’s a feature that solves the basic problem that our users have asked us to solve time and time again– how to quickly and easily pick the best date for an event or party. Over many months, we’ve developed a real-time algorithm that helps drive group consensus unlike any other product.
You can view a how to video on YouTube to learn more.

You can get pretty similar functionality from http://www.doodle.ch. It doesn’t have the maps, but then again you don’t have to register to use it.
I watched the youtube video and the key is the VIPs and how the system drives consensus. I looked at doodle, and it definitely does not have that capability.
