		<description>If at least Firefox and Safari support this (within 6 months?) I could see this getting huge, degrading to Flash/Java/Silverlight for IE. Opera would probably get on board (if they haven&#039;t already) as well.</description>

		<description>I think the current plan is for Firefox 3.1 to have the video element support (the video playback part is in there, it just needs decoders be added). But not sure about the fancy SVG and paint servers stuff; but given that WebKit has parts of it in their nightly builds, I&#039;d say Mozilla (specifically, Robert O&#039;Callahan) be doing a huge push to get it into Firefox 3.1 too.

Really exciting stuff - finally we&#039;ll have some standard way to do mind-blowing effects without having to deal with some 3rd-party plugin like Flash/Java/Silverlight/etc.</description>
