PS3-like Slideshow Implementation with Canvas

Category: Canvas, Showcase

Jérôme Wax has created a really nice PS3-like slideshow mashing up Flickr with Canvas to drive.

Where you place your mouse will effect the movement and speed of the slideshow from left to right. Nice and snappy.

Sweet, but not eye friendly, blearing my eyes when moves little faster. CPU usage is high.

KKFC: That’s what you get for using a ZX81 ;)

36% and smooth here on a nothing-special system, both Chrome & FF; 66% and framerate of around 3 on IE…

Hello.

I have made it for just a “proof of concept”. I see some weird bugs on Firefox3 under Ubuntu what do not occur under Firefox3 windows.

I tested it on Safari, Camino, opera (mac) and Firefox3, chrome, opera and IE 7 (win).

I also test it under Android, and Opera mobile on an HTC Touch Diamond :). It works quite well

CPU is high and I think optimisations are possible.
