Hey there, there's also my website, also called Resizr. I do much of the same thing as the aforementioned site, but my site accepts PNG, JPG, and GIF images and outputs in all three, as well. There's also a realtime preview of image size.

Ooohhhhh... WOW... GDLib or Imagemagick... a basic PHP call to it... with a scriptaculous interface...

Haven't seen that a million times before.... have we?

Personally.. I'd have put drag-handles on the corners and let them resize it that way..

On MouseUp... get ImageMagick (or whatever) to re-render the image and load it into the page (to get rid of the un-antialiased 'jaggies')

I'm not saying it doesn't look nice.. I'm not saying it doesn't function well... all I'm saying is... I could build this in half-a-day, effect, back-end script and all... it really is nothing special.

I think it's <em>mostly</em> a waste of time, but sometimes you find yourself on a stripped-down public terminal with only the browser available.

Unfortunately the don't support anything other than JPEG. But it's handy if you're in a rush and want to resize a photo.

Agreed. There's no reason they couldn't do it for both the resize and rotate operations.

Another tool that will do this is the Iconator Resizer. It's not as slick, but still does a good job. http://animator.iconator.com/resizulator.php

A "live preview" of the image you'd be generating would be helpful (client-side), then the button (which though amusing the first time, doesn't need the YFT effect when clicked) could return the server-processed image.
