Safari has had a debugger in it since it shipped, you just had to turn it on.

There is an "extension" already out there, which does that already. Just for the record. It's called the Safari Enhancer.

From the screenshots this looks almost identical to the Debugger in Dashcode. There are some tiny differences (on Dashcode there are words under the icons, there is a Stop and a single button for Run / Pause. Also the arrow on the source code is slightly larger. But otherwise it looks very similar. What are the odds Apple would develop TWO different JavaScript debuggers at the same time?

As for being a ‘proper programming language’ – there’s a difference between being able to do something and it being easy to do it.

I came here wondering if by the title you meant “Safari, get a Javascript debugger” or “Safari gets a Javascript debugger.” I was happy to find that it was the latter.
