SocialHistory.js: More Spyjax
Aza Raskin wrote about SocialHistory.js, a small library he wrote that detects which social networks that you use, and using that data to show the user only those sites as areas to work with. E.g. if you use Digg, show “digg this” etc.
He uses the technique that Jeremiah Grossman and Robert Hansen came up with, all wrapped up like Spyjax.
We have been weaving with Aza recently it seems:
- He updated his Geolocation JS library mock and we gave a demo of Geolocation in Gears at Google I/O
- He writes about Undo with Ajax and we posted the form history pattern
- We announced the hosting of Ajax libraries and he has been doing some thinking in that area too.

The technique used there is a bit old… I allready saw it a couple of months ago on some hack site. But this is a smart implementation of it.
Who the heck is “we”?
Dion, PLEASE make some distinction between Ajaxian and Google. At a minimum, when you post about Gears, GWT, or any other Google projects, disclose your employment. I’m beginning to find this insulting…
Thank you,
- Matt
