http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/
It supports 23 languages, and Spanish also

We have a version of the same thing, but for Internet Explorer and early versions of Firefox as well, http://www.thesolutioncafe.com/ajax-spell-checker.html. It is a commercial product that installs server-side.

Note: we previously posted this information but it appears to have been removed... not sure if Ajaxian removed it because of the commercial nature of our site... but even Ajaxian has advertising on their page so I hope this isn't the case.

I love how people say its useless because firefox has it. What if you don't use firefox.

Thats like saying widgets in Opera are useless because OS X has them. No connection at all.

I think this is great! Most non-technical people aren't using Firefox so this should work well for my clients' sites. About 90% of their users are using Internet Explorer or Safari.

Criminy, if your users can't spell, that's their problem, not yours!

Our <a href="http://www.thesolutioncafe.com/ajax-spell-checker.html" rel="nofollow">ajax spell checker</a> is cross platform compatible... meaning if you want Firefox-like (and better) spell checking capability within Internet Explorer you can simply implement our server-side code... <a href="http://www.thesolutioncafe.com/ajax-spell-checker.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.thesolutioncafe.com/ajax-spell-checker.html</a> we're also multilingual (new open source dictionaries to support the same number of languages), have a medical dictionary (which Firefox does not) and have much more customizability than the built-in Firefox solution. If you're not happy with our suggestion engine then you can change the suggestion algorithm server-side to match the Firefox suggestions.

with Firefox 2, the spellchecker language selection is accessible from a right-click in the text area where you want to spellcheck... that's pretty much usable to me! :)

My biggest gripe with FF spellcheck is that it's not easy to use multiple dictionaries. It's great when I'm writing a comment to a blog, but it's a pain when I'm emailing my family (in spanish), so I got rid of it.

SpellingCow only says to this respect "75+ languages coming soon," so I guess I'll keep waiting for a better web spellchecker.
