Based on feedback we got from entry-level developers who attended, I would say that you should absolutely get value from the event. One gentleman I spoke with was fairly new to Ajax and paid for the event out of his own pocket. When he said he paid himself, I literally went for my wallet to help him out and he said something to the effect of, "No way, I definitely got my money's worth." I think we'll do a better job of meeting entry-level needs at the fall event, by the way.
So, wait until we release the program and speaker list for the event, check it out, email us questions, and see if it looks like we'll have what you're looking for. We are definitely going to have more .NET-centric content this time around, based on feedback from the last show.

I can write basic functions in Javascript (and a intermediate ASP developer), I work in CT so Boston would be do-able.

My first concern would be can a newbie come to such an event and still walk away feeling that there was much learned.
