People who enjoy this might also enjoy http://www.isc.ro — client-side Java app, but you get niceties like accurately timed games, no game-halt for challenges, drag-drop or type-to-play, etc. and things which aren’t (easily) possible in a web browser.

The chat bug has been fixed and all of the XMLHttpRequest calls have been consolidated, plus the Lifehacker surge has abated a little. Performance should be much better now. Thanks to everyone for playing and I hope you continue to enjoy

Ryan might want to be careful with this. Hasbro is pretty aggressive about going after copyright violations. There are a number of "unofficial" Scrabble sites but they're all based outside of the US.
