Being a loyal movies.yahoo.com (basically i'm the guy that actually checks this thing starting 2 pm friday and finishes around 5pm), i have to say i'm a little disappointed. like tv.yahoo.com it feels heavy; i feel the first pause as the browser gets ready to deliver functionality.

to me that's a huge negative. lucky for yahoo, i am loyal, so i expect them to trim it down somewhat; i really don't care so much for the ajax-y stuff. it's exciting when it's useful not when it's a bell&whistle.

I just helped launch Y! Movies in Malaysia, and I think its a pretty good effort, although the US version definitely has more perks. Pretty cool.
