Why that unconventional keyboard configuration? It’s 20 years that we use the arrow keys to move the blocks, and use UP to rotate it…
Andrea, Tetris has its roots from nintendo. Grid movement on the left, rotation on the right. Every solid gamer should at least be used to that alternate configuration. Besides - it’s a bit immature to complain about something that’s really only 5 lines of code to change around - assigning different keys…
Dion, huge thanks for putting this up. Using the YUI Utils did most of the heavy lifting for me and once you get comfortable with them - most tasks become a breeze. I think my coworker is now going to one up me with another game now.
Awesome game Dustin! Amazing what AJAX can do nowdays.
If its immature to complain then this site should distribute crayons to everyone one that posts ….
… oh wait
Nice job, by the way
@jc : AJAX is not involved at ALL in this game. Perhaps to save some scores eventually, i dunno i dont played long, but it’s just DOM manipulation, not AJAX at all

@laurent: That’s correct. There was no real Ajax going on - but as you said, I might eventually incorporate some to save high scores etc…
@laurent: On top of what Dustin Diaz said, the article does not claim it is Ajax.
User Interface Library. via (Ajaxian) [...]

Crud, it’s down. Legal threat, I guess.
But the status message is pretty funny.
