Mike Keen has created a simple little site that uses Ajax and MooTools effects to deliver free text messages from the web, without the hassle of registration even.
Clean and simple.

Without the hassle of being able to read the Terms of Service too - handy!
uh, those are **cough** on the way**cough**… sorta like the file upload option…
;-)
whoa — you’re going to add a captcha to that, right? or at least have some kind of flood control?
When you add the terms of service, instead of adding a new window you should use a lightbox.
Does that work with canadian area codes?
Looks very different in IE6 than firefox/opera. (transparent png without alphaimageloader and black help text instead of grey)
Marries utilitarian function with an elegant beauty.
It’s a shame that our interest has broken it…
:(
Hmm, awesome, just what we needed! Another great way for spammers to reach cell phone users. How cool is that????

The TOS is up in a very early stage since I’ve gotten a lot of similar reactions. I just want to make it clear that we do not sell your information to anyone, and we don’t market to our users either.
Great idea - now I can send text messages as fast as my kids :)
no real eror checking - told me sms had been sent; never received.
I was in contact with Mike, and I’m trying to do a deal with ZipToPhone to expand the range of networks to cover europe using our Gateways.
Fingers crossed it goes ahead !.
