Be Green is a new website that uses Prototype, Script.aculo.us, and SIFr, on a website that helps you learn about environmental matters. The site features Ajax in a variety of ways, some of the most exciting being the Carbon Footprint calculator.

skrbl pad is a simple scratch pad that allows you to “whiteboard” ideas at a sharable URL. It is a lot like Google Docs (Writely) and friends, but allows you to click absolutely everywhere, so a touch more free form.

Andrew of the calc5 team has announced Calc 5, an online calculator that plots graphs. The tool uses canvas (or canvas emulation), and you can travel around the graphs a la Google Maps. TonicPoint is a “still in not-really-stealth-but-private-demos-only mode” project that implements a full-featured graphical PowerPoint editor implemented using MochiKit and SVG/VML (no plugins). Spokeo combines your friends from MySpace, LiveJournal, Flickr, Youtube, … and 20 other social networks into one destination. It’s like Trillian for social networks. The site was developed in Ruby-on-Rails by some Stamford students, and is their first ever web application.

Retrevo is a service in gamma (shamelessly stolen from Flickr) that lets you search for consumer electronics. It almost feels like an RSS reader in that you can have a left pane of results, and preview the full sites on the right hand side.
There have been a lot of these, but here is one more. Got API has a fast api search that can query across a lot of the APIs that you use day to day. You select the APIs that you care about, and search away.
