The Ajax Experience SF 2007 Call for Presenters Details

We invite you to submit proposals to speak at The Ajax Experience in San Francisco, July 25 – July 27 2007 at the Grand Hyatt. Here are the details:

Session Length and Content

We’re still playing around with session length. We’ll either have all 75 minute sessions, or some combination of 60, 75, and 90 minute sessions. Obviously, we’ll let you know what the length will be if we accept your talk. If you have an opinion about how much time you’d like, please let us know in your proposal.

The target audience of our show are primarily developers and designers–like you–so even though a large number of IT decision-maker types show up, please keep the sessions technical, not fluffy high-level “SOA architecture will save you” stuff.

The show is designed around the following topics:

  • User Experience / User Interface design (high-level and HTML/CSS specific talks)
  • JavaScript
  • Frameworks: JavaScript (client and server-side — here’s looking at you, Phobos), .NET, PHP, Java, Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Case Studies / Practical Advice from hand-on experience

It is not necessary for you to designate which of these topics your proposal covers, and of course, you may span some or all of them. And, if you have a killer proposal that doesn’t quite fit into any of these categories, send it along anyway. We’d love to have some killer case studies at the show, so please don’t be shy about sending in a talk about your own situation.

The Perks

Along with a free pass to the event, we will cover airfare and hotel room/tax for any approved speakers. Think of it: you hanging out with all the Ajax rock stars–for free! Hot dog.

The Process

We will acknowledge receipt of your proposal within two business days. We will review and evaluate your proposal not only for its individual merit but in comparison with other proposals. Please understand that this review process takes some time but we will be sure to get back to you within 2-4 weeks of receipt to inform you whether or not you have been accepted as a speaker.

Here is the schedule:

Earliest date to submit proposals: Immediately
Preferred date to submit proposals: April 16, 2007
Latest date to submit proposals: April 23, 2007
Completed presentations due: TBD in June
Conference dates: July 25-27, 2007

Where to Send Proposals

Send your abstract in email to tae-speaker at (replacing the ‘ at ‘ with @, of course).
